THE LANDMARK LONDON

The Landmark London - London, England

HOTEL OVERVIEW

The Landmark has an illustrious past as one of London’s grand Victorian-era railway hotels and sits right across from Marylebone station, which means convenient access to the Bakerloo Line, trains to the Chilterns. This grande dame railway hotel attracts an international crowd with its classic style and dramatic glass-roofed atrium filled with lush palms.

THE ROOMS

The rooms and suites feel refreshed but remain classic in style. They all follow a similar design theme, with gold curtains and crystal lamps reminding you that this a grand hotel, while grey feature walls and Smart TVs keep things up to date. Standard rooms are a good size compared to other hotels in the capital, with ample room for seating areas and white marble bathrooms with tubs and double sinks.

SERVICES AND FACILITES

Although the hotel is bustling, staff often seem to outnumber guests and are extremely attentive – at brunch, champagne glasses are topped up as soon as you take a sip. A top-notch concierge team is also on hand to secure restaurant reservations and theatre tickets. A significant role in our stay was mentioned willing staff.

SPA & FITNESS

The spa area comprises a sauna, steam room and hot tub and a decent-sized pool. A glass-walled gym also looks over. The spa uses products from highly regarded skincare specialists Germaine de Cappucine. The Excel Therapy O2 Cityproof facial aims to combat the effects of urban pollution by releasing pure oxygen into the layers of the skin.

FOOD & DRINKS

Spend your time in the atmospheric Winter Garden, be it for dinner, afternoon tea or the hotel’s legendary Sunday brunch with free-flowing champagne, which needs to be booked well in advance. Sit down in the middle of the majestic property and enjoy not only English local dishes. Breakfast, also served in the Winter Garden.

CONCLUSION

We had a very pleasant stay at the five-star hotel The Landmark. Due to the unique location of the property near the world-famous Baker Street, we had all parts of London within easy reach. The whole experience including perfectly prepared meals accompanied by a piano, left us with beautiful memories of this part of London.
